Cool Of The Day

ree

There's several in the bible that I wholeheartedly marvel at, The Twelve Disciples, they walked with Jesus, Elijah, he didn't experience death, Moses, he saw the Glory of God, and Adam and Eve, they had the privilege of communing with The Almighty in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:8 states "And they heard the voice of The Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of God among the trees of the garden."

Today, I want to minister to you the importance of spending time with Jesus. I want to minister, Relationship > Religion. First, quick question, do you know that everything that you're in need of is literally in the presence of God? Scripture Psalm 16:11 tell us "Thou wilt show me thy path of life; in thy presence there is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there pleasures forevermore." Emphasis on pleasures forevermore. In his presence theres an abundance of goodness thats just waiting to shower down upon you.

Let's take a good look at religion..

"Not everyone that says to me Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he that does the kingdom of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me that day "Lord Lord did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?" Then I will say to them, I never knew you, depart from me you workers of iniquity." (Matthew 7:21-23) Here, you have someone that once had a relationship with The Lord. That is how they got the Spiritual Gifts. They once communed with Jesus, and sought him with their whole heart. However, somewhere along the way they became religious. Somewhere along the way life became too busy and they didn't see the priority of having a relationship with Jesus. They strayed away from sitting at his feet daily. They strayed away from worship and taking delight in his word. Oh they knew of Him, they knew what he could do. They were familiar with scriptures, they religiously went to church on Sunday, sat through bible study on Wednesday, kicked and pranced during Praise and Worship, paid tithe and offering, but when they went home, there was no fire on the altar. There was no communing taking place. They had no relationship with God, just one with Church. Sadly, sadly this is the state of many today. Many are religious, appearing to be One with God, yet they have no oneness with Him. Sis, don't let this be you. Don't live a life of "religion." In this hour you need relationship. 2020 came to shake everything that was shakeable, did it not? 2020 weeded out the tares from the wheat, sheep from the goat. All to draw us closer to Jesus in our prayer closets. In Genesis, Adam and Eve had the privilege of talking, singing, and laughing with God. Sin, disobedience 'caused them that wonderful privilege with him. However that didn't kill his desire to have companionship with us, mankind. God had a plan of restoration, and that plan was Jesus.

....Relationship

My sisters and I have a beautiful relationship. We talk often, if not daily. We send each other text messages throughout the day, funny memes, we FaceTime to see each other smile or share "tea". At times for thirty minutes, some calls can last for hours. If I was to call any of them up today and ask for a gift, they wouldn't be reluctant at at all to give it. Why? They know me. We have a relationship. On the other hand, I can't call an old high school friend up that I haven't spoken to for two years and ask can I come over to stay the weekend. They would think I was crazy. We don't have a relationship. They barely know me. I mean they once knew me .. they know me from a distance of social media but thats about it. There's many benefits of having relationship with Jesus. What a beautiful thing it is to be known by NAME by the One True Living God. In the Book of James we're reminded that as we draw near to God, he will draw near to us. All he's looking for is your attention, and with your attention, heart at a yielded state, He will do great and mighty wonders in your life.

What is it that you're in need of friend? Might it be rest? Companionship? A listening ear? "... his ears are open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15) and "there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother" (Proverbs 18:24) Jesus is our present help in time of need. Maybe life have disturbed the core of your soul, you've been rocked from the foundation as you know it. Let Him reestablish you, in his presence. There's "healing in his wings" declares (Malachi 4:2) In his presence is where you can obtain your healing. Maybe your children have grieved your heart, or your job has become stressful, your finances are in lack, or your health is not at its best. Well He, your Heavenly Papa wants to hear all about it during the Cool of The Day with you. Get to pressing in Sis, daily. Whatever it might look like or sound like, start there. Start with that devotional, start with a melody on your heart, start with a prayer of Thanksgiving. Whatever, whenever is your cool of the day, start there.

There's a little hymn entitled "A Little Talk With Jesus" by The Statler Brothers that I like to keep on my heart

"I once was lost in sin but Jesus took me in And then a little light from Heaven filled my soul He bathed my heart in love and wrote my name above And just a little talk with Jesus made me whole

Now let us have a little talk with Jesus Let us tell Him all about our troubles He will hear our faintest cry and we will answer by and by Now when you feel a little prayer wheel turning You'll know a little fire is burning You will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right ..."

Question from Blog Chat: "When did you realize that God had healed your soul?"

Answer: The minute I sat down on the pew from the altar. Mind you, I had a miraculous encounter with God at the altar at church. God removed the "brokenness" from within me as I stood standing in his presence. It was even more evident the morning after when I woke up. There was no heaviness or pain. My heart was and still is as light as a feather and full of unspeakable joy and life! There's many examples of healing in the Bible, I encourage you take to hold of them. Meditate on healing scriptures, declare them over the area of your life that is in need of a healing. Mostly of all, dwell in the Secret Place of The Most High - the Presence of God.

Love You Sis! Hope this helped/answered your question.
