It's well past midnight, and here I lay wide awake. As I lay in complete darkness, my mind began to race and reminisce on the goodness of Jesus. The story of Moses kept coming to my heart. Moses, used so purposeful by God, heart had to be encouraged time after time by Gods power, faithfulness, and everlasting love. Before Moses was sent to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he asked God who am I to say who sent me? God simply replied, "I AM THAT I AM."
What has Jesus been to you? He has certainly been something wonderful to me. When I testify to others about who Jesus is, I tell them He's my "Everything." Simply put. Lets look a little deeper into what "Everything" has been in my life ...
I AM THAT I AM ... A Way Maker. Ever had your back against the wall and you absolutely COULD NOT see your way out. Family and friends don't have the resources or answers to help. Everybody hands are tied including yours. You have NO idea what to do next. Then right when you've reach the conclusion that its over with and your heart loses all hope, God shows up on the scene and turn your whole situation around. Yes! That is what I mean when I say He's a "Way Maker." He never ceases to amaze me with His might and power. He's an on time God! Men WILL fail but its impossible for God to fail. He will make a way out of no way, question is, "Are you crazy enough to trust Him?" "Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters." (Isaiah 43:16) KJV
I AM THAT I AM ... A Healer . If I ever doubted God or waived in my faith about anything, it vanishes when I think about how God has been faithful with healing me of so much. Rejection, abandonment from my mother, people bondage that was very unhealthy, my new favorite healing, a healing that recently took place inside of my body that my doctor diagnosed me with, and so much more. God wants His children to live an abundant life, spiritually, health, and wealth. He wants to see us prosper. "He sent out His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction." (Psalm 107:20) KJV
I AM THAT I AM ... A Provider. Before Christ when we inherited a new job, a promotion, a spouse, or material things, we tend to think it was all us. Then after Christ, we knew better. We knew it was all God and absolutely none of us! God provides everything. Our health, mentality, strength, food, jobs to provide for our family, husbands to serve, help, and enjoy life with, those beautiful babies we prayed for, and everything else. There's been numerous of times I needed God to provide and He Always Always Always does. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ." (Phillippians 4:19) KJV In need of a house? That is a need. A car? That is a need. A job to provide for your family? That is a need. Strength? A deliverance? Peace in your mind and household? God supplies it all.
I AM THAT I AM ... A Restorer. I lost so much in my lifetime. Im not talking about materials things, but more spiritual; peace, joy, purpose, etc. I was misplaced from my family for years. I didn't have much contact with my biological mother for years at a time. All by choice. I felt abandoned and rejected by her. For a while I despised her. I blamed her for all of the abuse and pain that took place in my life. Then God saw fit to heal our relationship and restore my family back together. Now, my mother and I have a beautiful relationship along with my siblings. God truly restores. What you may think is a lost cause, God thinks otherwise. Some of you may have lost material possessions along the way. Houses went into foreclosure, cars repossessed, credit took an unexpected hit, and others. Did you all know God restores material things as well?! Yes! When my husband and I vehicles were totaled beyond repair, we were blessed with new ones! When my credit took a hit for helping out others in time of need, I vented to God and He gave me wisdom on how to save, pay off debt, and sow seeds. So little faith of me to ever think that what I had in the past was "it." Oh how I missed it all together. The best is always yet to come in Christ. "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. (Psalms 50:10) KJV
I'm sure you all know our God to be so much more. Please share your testimonies in the comment box. I would love to hear about them.
