Journal Entry #2- Getting Rid of Clutter

Updated: Apr 1, 2018

Im home from work. Lauren is fed, homework finished, showered, bed time story read, and kissed goodnight. Kris is wrapping up things on one of his job sites, preparing to come home. I'm looking at laundry that has taken over one of my sofas in the great room. I go to the kitchen and grab a bottle of water and cant help but sigh at the sink full of dirty dishes. I started through the mail pile that was stacked on the dining room table and began to throw away the out dated mail, coupons from fast food restaurants, make mental notes to pay a couple of bills, all awhile thinking, "all of this clutter." I looked inside of my purse to find an ink pen, more clutter.

I began to feel so overwhelmed by the clutter in my house. I felt a tug at my spirit. I knew just the fix I needed, time with Jesus. I grabbed my bible and journal and headed down the hall towards our guest room. I opened the door to more clutter. We're in a process of Spring cleaning and I'm almost done with getting the guest room all cleared up. I linked my blue tooth to my speaker and turned on some worship music. The sweet sound of praise saturated the atmosphere. Next, his presence moved in and aroused my heart of praise. His spirit tickled my flesh with a gentle loving sensation. Ahhhhhh His Glory is here!

I immediately felt better. Relaxed. Relieved. Refreshed. I felt lighter. As I began to reverence My Lord for who he simply is, loving, caring, selfless, faithful, the list goes on, I forgot all about the clutter that awaited me in my great room, kitchen, on the dining room table, in my purse, and even the clutter that was inches away from me packed in boxes. I continued to praise and worship, as my Savior began to deal with the clutter in my heart.

Jesus Is Just That Good,
